You answer 490 graded AZ-104 questions across all five skill areas, each lesson teaching the facts its questions turn on first.
An Azure administrator usually inherits a subscription that already exists, and most of the work is reading what someone else already set: which scope a role assignment arrived from, why a storage firewall refuses a request that carries a valid key, which disk operation needs the machine stopped first. This course follows the published AZ-104 skill areas and gives each one graded question sets, with the teaching those questions rely on sitting directly above them.
Across 48 lessons you answer 490 questions. The count in each area tracks the weighting Microsoft publishes, so the time you spend here matches the time the exam spends: Microsoft Entra identities and governance, storage, compute, virtual networking, and monitoring and recovery. Most questions describe a configured environment and ask what happens next, what broke, or what to change, rather than asking you to recall a definition.
Every option carries a written explanation, the ones you picked and the ones you left alone, so a wrong answer tells you which rule you misread instead of only that you missed it. Each teaching text is scoped to the questions under it: role assignment and scope inheritance, storage redundancy and account failover, SAS tokens and stored access policies, ARM templates and Bicep, virtual machine sizing and availability, App Service plans and slots, address space and peering, network security group evaluation order, DNS zones and load balancer probes, Log Analytics queries and alert rules, backup policies and Site Recovery.
You need an Azure subscription you can read and enough portal familiarity to find a resource. The passing score is 80 percent.
