Learn how to use AI Agents that can reason, use tools and take action to build products.
AI Agents are applications that can reason, use tools, manage memory, and take action to achieve goals. In this course you 'll learn how to build them in C#. Starting with the fundamentals of Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering, you 'll progress to implementing tool use, reasoning loops, and context management, before creating full agents that automate tasks like managing invoices. You 'll also learn how to integrate OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini into your .NET projects using Microsoft.Extensions.AI, and finish by building a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server to connect your agents with clients like Claude.ai. By the end of this course, you 'll have the skills and source code to create your own powerful AI agents in C#.

Watching him build the POC was great for understanding how agents work under the hood.
How agents retain context in session memory and how to persist that for longer. Tool calling is very powerful. Now I know how agents use them and how to build them in .NET! The MCP section was great as well. Now I understand that a lot better.
James explained the material clearly and focused on what was truly necessary, without unnecessary or trivial details. The sessions stayed engaging throughout because the teaching was structured and to the point.
Everything was useful. But mostly how the MCP server can be integrated.
James was able to breakdown complex workflows easily with graphical diagrams, the course was broken into easily digestible chunks and after each section I felt like I had achieved something.
How AI Agents work and specifically how building an MCP can help unlock the power of your application to a wider audience.
It was very hands-on and practical with examples about everything. Plus the instructor explained everything clearly.
How the various different pieces all tie together to create an agent, and the role of the model, prompts, tools, etc
It was very hands on and practical. I liked how we were taken through step by step guidance and introduction to all the new concepts.
How AI Agents work and building one myself with .NET!
Really nice course, it's really straightforward. The presenter looks like Jon nodtveid, which is a plus 😊 the only thing I think was unnecessary was the weather api - we could've used some in memory fake. Otherwise really a great, nicely structured course
